WISH FINAL REPORT

There were many positive outcomes for the Princess Elizabeth WI branch as a result of the WISH activities throughout 2022.
First and foremost, the one non-member of our "Ladies in waiting" foursome at the start decided to join us officially as a member.
We were happy to have local site choices, were able to do what was required through the daytime hours and follow our own schedule. We were cautious and managed, despite Covid lurking in the background.
The challenges were varied and encouraged creativity, going with the flow as a group and thinking outside of the box... perfect ways to stimulate our aging brains! Spending time together, but not at a regular meeting, gave us additional insights and understanding of each other. All of that was very positive!
On the flip side, the challenge of "paying it forward" with a goal of approaching someone to tell them about WI was really a bit of a challenge in a different way. In these uncertain times, we were hesitant about approaching a complete stranger and varied our plan accordingly, so that everyone would feel comfortable. Unfortunately, the first idea had to be altered and we went with plan B, deciding we would really let fate decide who might come to a meeting as a guest and be known to be a rational, safe choice. We are still hoping we might gain another member that way. Time will tell.
Thank you so much for the team effort involved in planning the experience as a way to celebrate 125 years of WI.
Is there any possibility that there might be a small group local activity or challenge planned for WI branches during the summer every year? WISHful thinking?? Or a definite possibility??
