Description
The Lunch Bunch enjoyed the six Scavenger Hunt projects and
consequent shenanigans. We fumbled our way through
museum documents to learn that in the late 1950’s our
Vernon W.I. sponsored local school Public Speaking.
We amused ourselves with Logo creations making a project
advertising W.I.’s role in getting lines painted on provincial
highways and stop lights on school buses.
We painted rocks to advertise Old Macdonald’s animals.
We experienced “paying ahead” at Tim Hortons’ when
explaining the value of the W.I. motto.
We became children again rigging up and donning Hallowe’en
costumes.
We also used our own name to create a poem in the style that
Dr. Seuss used in his books. In the book
Green Eggs and Ham the youngster finally changes his mind
about refusing to eat green eggs and ham and discovers that
he likes them. We tried to imitate this concept as we wrote
about ourselves.
We wish to thank you for your creative ideas to make us think
of different ways to express what you asked for in your Clues.
We appreciate your work for our fun and IT WAS FUN.

LUNCH BUNCH SHENANIGANS

What would you eat
If you could eat
Anything
You want to eat?

Helen would eat melon and bellon
Mary would eat berry and zairee
Laura would eat flora and glora
Norma would eat shwarma and dorma

But that’s BORING like SNORING.
Give me anchovies, kale
And breaded whale.
