- A Story for Halloween
It was a warm Halloween night and the moon shone bright on the sacred glade. The Witches of Cathcart were going to celebrate their good spells and incantations. It had been a good year and everyone was ready to ‘par-yay!’. The costumes were very diverse and wonderfully colourful. Good food and fun, music and dancing were the order of the night.
As all joined in, Halloween magic began to build. Smokey tendrils slipped in from every direction. They joined. They swirled. They grew as the revelry continued until……..at the stroke of midnight…….the magic burst, and it swept through the glade and far, far beyond, into the world, all round.
It was then that the witches reverted to whom they really were - the faithful members of Cathcart W.I.
All were now tired and ready for home, rejuvenated and ready for another year of work in W.I.
