- Description
- Find a big pumpkin was in our fifth clue.
So off to the patch, only the biggest would do!
Do we carve a scary face? … No!
To honour WI is the way to go!
Design costumes to complete a theme.
Symbols of food are what we deem
Will represent projects from 4-H homemaking
And all the clubs we’ve taken.
As members and leaders we owe gratitude
To the WI branches who sponsored us and their benevolent attitude.
The knowledge and recipes we use to this day
So we’ve dressed up and made our display.
Macaroni covered in cheese makes a great array
For Evelyn P. to denote ‘The Milky Way’.
Next stands Bernice D. sporting a carrot of orange hue
To symbolize ‘Dressing Up Vegetables’ too.
While Audrey C. in a bright red strawberry suit
Stands for ‘Featuring Fruit’.
Jean H. has adorned herself
Wearing cereal to represent the ‘Cereal Shelf’.
Through all this fun we are trying to say
To all WI, “Happy 125th birthday!”
