- Team members chose a pumpkin from the patch at team member Monique’s home. We decided to carve our pumpkins in time so that they could be entered into the first ever Pumpkin Trail organized by the Seaforth Agricultural Society on October 23. The Great Pumpkin Trail will be set up around the racetrack where the carved and lit pumpkins can be viewed. This is a fundraiser in support of renovating the exterior of the Seaforth Ag. Society’s Round House. The Round House, constructed in 1902, is a unique two-story octagonal building, and is one of the few remaining octagonal halls in Ontario. Carved pumpkins could be picked up again after the event, but we decided to leave our pumpkins there. The pumpkins not picked up will be distributed around the town of Seaforth, by the Ag. Society, for the community to enjoy until the end of the month.
