Hot Wheels, clue #4

Our team had two special guests for coffee when we met in August. Our team members are Susan, Tannis, Jennifer and Marilyn. We met at a brand new coffee shop in Paris called Detour. It’s not a crowded shop so we were a bit concerned if we’d find anyone. While Jennifer was walking down to the shop she passed a neighbour on her front porch. She asked Jennifer in for coffee but she had to decline as she already had a coffee date. As well Susan’s daughter Beth was home from British Columbia so she had joined us for a quick hello. We’ve all watched each other’s children grow up so we were very pleased to have a chance for a visit. As we were chatting happily with Beth in walks Jennifer’s neighbour Heather who she’d passed on her way down. We literally pounced on her and asked her to join us. We had fun making connections. Heather’s daughter has been a member of our Branch previously so Heather knew a bit about us. It was important also for a Beth to know what her Mom’s friends do for fun and friendship. We’re all readers so the bookmarks are a bonus!
