- WISH Clue # 3
The Theme of our rock painting is “ Nature”
We each found our rocks in different places. Helen Orr found hers in a farm field, Rose Weir found hers on the beach near her home and Ellen Waye found hers on the shoreline of Lake Huron at Boiler Beach. Boiler Beach is named for the boiler of the Erie Belle which crashed on the rocks and sank on November 21, 1883. The boiler is still visible in the water or on the sand depending on the height of the water in Lake Huron.
Sandra MacDonald was unable to join us for this clue.
We gathered at the home of Ellen Waye and spent an enjoyable afternoon discussing the world around us and current events that leave us concerned for the women of the future.
Our painting included rainbows, clouds, blue skies, trees and sunshine. One of the rocks went to Sandra’s back door to great her in a hope that it would brighten her day. When she returns home from a difficult journey. One of the other rocks, was shaped like a horse head. Rose painted the horse head for a friend who has recently lost a special horse on her farm.
The other rocks are going to go to people in our community who need to know that someone is thinking about them.
