- The Marmaladies VS Lego
Last night we came together at Jane’s,
She thought Lego was a bit of a pain
She looked at those blocks
And declared “Oh my good gods
I’d rather stand out in the rain!”
Ideas came alive as we continued to strive
For thoughts of the WI,
Connections and friendship were top of the list
So a quilt took the fancy of Deb, Sal and Nanci
And Jane just couldn’t resist.
While the Lego abounded
We sure were confounded
There were pieces of all shapes and sizes,
But try as we might , there wasn’t much white,
So we might not win the big prizes.
So our quilt is a bit of a jumble
But these Marmaladies don’t grumble,
While Lego annoys us
Friendship employs us
After all that’s the point.. not to rumble!
We decided to write a poem about our experience with the Lego Clue ! Our picture shows how we felt after making our WI Lego quilt. Please be advised that there where no children involved, which was probably a mistake.
We are wearing pajamas as we made a quilt all be it not quite large enough to get under and upon completion we did feel like we had been up all night.
Our photo shows our team members Sally-writing the poem, Jane wearing pieces of Lego after sifting through a large bin to find the pieces. Debbie was in charge of design and Nanci Assisted with construction. Our trusty banner and jar of marmalade complete the theme. We are at Debbie's house sitting on a quilt she stitched by hand.
