- WHAT A CELEBRATION!
On April 21, our most esteemed WI member,
Queen Elizabeth II
celebrated her 96th birthday.
With a year full of festivities to look forward to, we decided to glance backward, to a carriage ride taken by Her Majesty many years ago.
We acquired a bin of
Disney LEGO from our local Mission Store and Cora went to work assembling a Royal carriage. Sharon found a magazine photo of a radiant, smiling queen 👸 while Lynn placed the wheels and a driver.
We raised our teacups to toast our Queen's 96th birthday!
Unfortunately, our 4th friend, Marlene had a doctor's appointment and was unable to join us, but enjoyed viewing our LEGO carriage days later.
Our bin of LEGO bricks found a new home 🏡 when it was gifted to Sharon's new neighbours, a Iranian family with two young daughters.
