- The Carleton Country Honey Bees were busy building a Lego creation that represents WI. The Honey Bees got to work sifting through Lego pieces, and creating different components of our final product. We created a WI Tea House and Gardens for WI meetings and for others to enjoy.
The WI Tea House is easy to find with the flag on top, and the building itself, in WI blue and gold colours. The WI members and guests held their April meeting at the tea house on a warm spring day and were able to sit out on the patio to enjoy their tea, goodies, and guest speaker. The spring flowers were starting to shoot up and the shrubs and palm tree added greenery to the surroundings. Both members and guests were able to enjoy companionship and conversation well into the evening under the streetlights. The guest speaker for their meeting, Constable Worth, covered the topics of fraud calls & scams, cyber thefts & robberies, and dangerous driving. A very worthwhile talk and timely with the increase in tax related fraud and with the warmer weather approaching as more children and families will be out biking, walking and playing.
The Carleton Country Honey Bees had a lot of fun ‘buzzing’ around to create their masterpiece, and have named it the 'WI Honey Bee Café and Gardens!' - Notes
