- The Doorway
Throughout our lives we are blessed with many opportunities. Many a door is open for us if only we step over the threshold.
WI can be seen as one of those opportunities. Through The Doorway of membership many gifts are accessible.
A warm cup of tea may signify the warmth of fellowship, welcome and acceptance.
The Motto, "For Home and Country" is a simple but succinct phrase signifying the priorities of women everywhere. WI providesmuch more than our interpersonal connections. It provides members with many tools: Tool for Learning (Book), Tools for Justice (Gavel), Tools for Caring (Heart), Tools for personal growth (Butterfly).
Travelling through The Doorway of WI membership can lead to a wealth of experience.
As Women of WI, we have the privilege of expanding our experience. We gain a mutual network of friends and acquaintances. We gain knowledge through our programmes and courses. We gain the ability to affect change through advocacy. We gain an understanding and caring for our international circle of women. We gain personal growth and a certain humility in being a piece of this large and diverse puzzle.
So much to be gained by taking that step, through THE DOORWAY. - Notes
