Description
The gates to the Tavistock, Ontario Fair Grounds were erected in 1925 by the local Women's Institute. They have been a local landmark ever since. The gates were falling into disrepair so about 10 years ago, but were carefully restored to their original condition and look wonderful. See further information below.

Browns Happy Hunters took a drive over to Tavistock, about 15 miles away on Feb 24th 2022. We had a delicious lunch at Quehl's restaurant, made all the more enjoyable since we have not been in a sit down restaurant for lunch in a very long time. We had a nice time getting acquainted and re-acquainted. Then we drove over the the Fair Ground gates for our photo op. I had purchased a selfie stick to take these pictures with, but the results decidedly show I need a lot more practice with this device. The wind was not helping the situation either! We are looking forward to clue # 2, and our next day out together!
