Our oldest son Grant married Denise King (daughter of Ernie & Thelma King)and a Registered Nurse, on July 23, 1983.Grant works for Huron--Kinloss township and does beef farming. We had our first grandson , Bradley Grant on March 31, 1985. Two years later a granddaughter , Jessica Nicole surprised us when the male side was predominant.(March 16,1987). Dale and Marilynne Macintyre were married on July 16, 1988. Fred Gilchrist passed away March 20, 1989 at age 86. Murray married Carolyn Duff at Ancaster on Sept. 23, 1989.Murray passed away on March 13, 1991. Dan married Lorelei Leachman of Wingham on August 31, 1991. Second granddaughter , Erin Elaine was born on Nov. 8, 1991 at Kitchener/Waterloo Hospital since Dale & Marilynne lived in Waterloo at that time. June's brother, Delbert Stewart, died of a massive heart attack on Jan. 12, 1992 in Burlington at age 50. Third granddaughter (Dan & Lorelei) Cassandra Leigh was born on uncle Dale's birthday -- Oct. 6, 1992. Fourth granddaughter (Dale & Marilynne) arrived on Nov. 1, 1993 in Wingham hospital as they now lived in Lucknow . Dale and Marilynne teach at F.E. Madill Secondary School in Wingham. Drew Daniel (Dan & Lorelei) was born July 24, 1994. Dan's family lived in London , worked at London Life and later moved to Georgetown where he works at CIT-- a business investment company. Lorelei is partner of Peel Exterior Maintenance (Ilandscaping and snow removal). June worked as a Supply Teacher in Bruce County until 2003 when she retired. We sold the dairy herd in 1989 as Bob was a Patz and Starline dealer. He was a director of West Wawanash Insurance Co. Then in 1996 he went to Teeswater Concrete to work for 12 years. We both are directors of Lucknow Agricultural Society and June received an award for over 40 years of volunteer service. In church work Bob was on the Board of Managers for over 30 years and June is an Elder and presently Clerk of Session. June has been a member of Kinloss Kairshea W.1. and president for 9 years from 1999 to 2008. 4 k Trips we have taken are: Carribean cruise, New York City, Panama Canal, ¥ C Scotland and Alaska--land and sea. She passed away June 13; €. 7/ 1993 and is buried in Kincardine cemetery. <<@ j My memories of Mom were that she was a devoted Chrigtian and worked really _ We hard to give her family a good home in spite of hard times with little money. She loved to sew and made our clothes by hand with a treadle machine , creating all €§ the patterns herself. She had a large garden from which she fed us and did canning for winter meals. She milked cows by hand and helped with the farm work as well as baking bread and other goodies. She never learned to drive the car despite all of Dad's attempts to teach her. She just seemed to be too nervous.
