T§ On April 10th Messrs. Durst and Schaus interviewed the Kinsmen Club with a View to the club buying the Elliot property and donating it to the Board as a Hospital, which later was done. The name suggested was "The Chesley and District Memorial Hospital". Architect Kertland was asked to submit plans. On November 26, 1945 the committee was authorized to launch its appeal. After the passing of Rev. Dr. Gibson, Gilbert Mair was appointed as Chairman, Mrs C obright was appointed to the Board and Miss Jennie McLean as representatige of the Women's Institute.
