She wore street length blue crepe dress, with empire waistline, A-line skirt, short sleeves and round neckline. A matching blue velvet ribbon was tied in a bow at the waistline and two streamers fell to the hemline. She also wore a blue velvet bow in her hair. She carried a bouquet org pink carnations and white baby mums. Miss Gladys Cooper of RR 5 Kincardine,sister of the bride and Mrs. Gordon Cooper, Hanover, sister-in-law of the bride, were bridesmaids. They were gowned identical to the matron of honour. The community held a shower in Kingarf Church basement to honour Marion on her forthcoming marriage. After a short enjoyable program, Marion was presented with many useful and beautiful gifts. She thanked all who had helped with this shower, and invited all present to see her Lrousseau at her parents home. A delicious lunch was served by the group, that arranged the shower. At five a delicious dinner was served in the church basement by Kingarf Women's Auxiliary. The waitresses were cousins of the bride. Mr. Lindsay Shaw tqted as toastmaster. Guests attended from Petrolia, Wallaceburg, Hamilton, 'Orangeville, Peterborough, Grand Valley and the Walkerton and Kincardine districts. Marion chose a purple and white dress with white accessories and corsage of yellow roses and white mums for travelling. The bride and groom went to Orillia and Ottawa. The happy couple are residing at Grand Valley, Ontario. SHOWERS Marion was guest of honour at miscellanious showers given by Betty Keating, Hazel Young and Eleanor wBrayford WE? Orangeville. The bride's mother chose a short sleeve pink and white crimplene dress. She wore black and white accessories, corsage of pink carnations and white mums.
