Not only was she the choice of the judges but Miss Ursula Oltman was certainly the crowd's favorite as the tumultuous cheering testified when she was named Miss Bruce County at Connaught Park on Tuesday night. Miss Oltman, named Miss Kincardine on Friday night, edged out seven other contestants from throughout the county. Ursula wins Miss Bruce County First princess was Miss Teeswater, 17 year-old Sue MacKay and second princess was Miss Paisley, 19 year-old Linda Flanders. Judges for the event were Harvey Linklater of Kincardine, John Strong of CKNX and William Fetter of the K.W Record. Miss Bruce County I with Tracy Buckingham, _ Sherry Storms and Trudy Ruetz Miss Oltman received a cheque for $500 with cheques of $200 and $100 going to the princesses. She was crowned by reunion chairman Harold Linklater and congratulated in a r1tting manner, with a kiss, by entertainer Tommy Common. The Miss Bruce County contest was organized and directed by Anna Meyer of CKNX with assistance from master of ceremonies Johnny Brent. Other contestants were Miss Chippewa Hill, Donna Nashcawa; Miss Wharton, Sandy Usher; Miss Lucknow, Valerie Morningstar; Miss Southampton, Linda Ripley and Miss Ripley, Judy Hodge. Knox Presbyterian Chundl welccmed a huge congregation on Sunday. Guest speaker was former minister, Rev. William Mitchell of Etobicoke. The 0r- ganist was Mrs. John Fox (Pat- ricia Lambert) and music was provided by a former quartette of Gordon Campbell, Richard MacKay, John Stone and Jams. es Young.
