The Judge, a non institute member, was very impressed with your workmanship. I took four Wl exhibits to Ottawa - Balsam Hill, Burnstown, White Lake and Lorne Sutherland. I am proud to announce that Lorne Sutherland came lsr and Burnstown tied for 2nd place out of the twelve Wis showing. Watch for the 2005 CCEA list at the Area Convention, 1 look forward to seeing more Wis exhibit in the next year. Thanks to all who helped with thejudging process, the setup and teardown and sitting with the exhibits each day. Renfrew Fair - Jeanne McDonald After months of discussion and preparation, five Wl displays were ready for judging. Nancy McTavish of Perth judged .- 1) display; 2) adherence to theme; and 3) individual articies. This concept of judging was new to her and she found it difficult to five place points. No category had 5 Wis displaying but there was an item in each category, Most popular were- Swedish Weaving and card making. She loved the chokecherryielly and if there. was butter 'she would have made a sandwich'. Outstanding articles were chosen on the basis of what would be on the list 150 years ago. With judging completed it was time to add up the points, ist Balsam Hill, 2nd Burnstown, 3rd Glasgow, 4tr, White Lake, Sn Lochwinnoch. We presented the Fair 80 1rd with a request at increasing the entry fee and putting something of a barrier between displays.
