The District Presidents and District Secretaries for 1927 â€" 1928 tocether with Mrs., M.B., Weese, Mrs James G.rbutt, Mrs B. Finkle and with Mrs, Cole with power to add | to their numbers. Jackson, Woodrous had been elected by the Dist. Representatives as ‘ the director for our subâ€"division on the Prov, Fed., Board. 3 Mrs, Chas Macoun gave the closing address on "The Rasis of Success in Rranch, ; District and Provincial Work"., Mrs., McFee, who is president of the Crildren‘s Shelter told how much the assistance civen by the Women‘s Institute Branches was anpreciated and | requested their continued coâ€"operation, One half of the exhibits of baking was donated | to the Children‘s Shelter, the other half to the Home for the Aged. ? With closing words by Mr. Putnam and Mrs, M.B.Weese chairman of General Convention Committees and the singing of the National Anthem the first Convention was closed. Those who were privileged to attend this splendid convention could not hut catch the * high zeal and patriotism which permeated the gathering. It was the enthusiasm of a good ‘”&/’ cause of which none were ashamed, and the majority of delegates left for their homes with renewed vigor to carry on in their own District the work of the great organizastion, whose aim is the betterment of Home and Country.
