(fi) Dan Wilson's Reason For Settling In Lakeside Was C.P. Station. This was before the Purchase of the store from Mr. John Sinkins. The station was a hub of activity in those early years with telegraph messages, the transport of milk, dry goods, family parcels, machinery and local travel for students going to high school by train through Ingersol to Zorra, making connection to the Canadian National Railway mainline, then into Woodstock. 1.t was the only means of long distant travel for other cities. Accompanying this story are photos of the station in its hay day, the rail , yard, the section house, locomotives, rail cars and the rail plough. The Anglican Lakeside Parish Church purchased the C.P.R. station, had it moved and made to .become a viable working parish hall and meeting place for the area. What history in the walls. The next few pages of photographs are self explanatory of the railway link to Lakeside. . (over-head projector)
