THE PRATT FARM HISTOHY Lot 25, Con 9, was granted by the Crown on April 7, 1616. This consisted of 200 acres and Was first registered to Mr. Thomas Proctor, who was from the (2own- _ 'ship of Yonge, in the District of Johnstown. The propwrty changed hands on the following years. 1540 - Brinton Payne Brown 1656 - Edward F. Brown 1657 - Edward F. Brown Sold 100 acres which was the north half of Lot 25, Con 9. 1866 - Jacob Potts and Lansing Biddleman 1670 - Robert Miles _ 1904 w Edmund miles 1905 w Frederick W. Pratt leased the land from Edmund Miles 1910 - Frederick W. Pratt Bought the property. The Pratt Family Frederick W. Pratt was born in Mitchell, Perth County. His wife Susan Robertson was born in dawanosh, Huron County. They were married in Dereham in 1884. They had three sons, Ernest, Carman and Fred Earl. Ernest died in 1897.
