The report of the District Annual was given by Joyce West (District Director). Carol Miller, Convener of Education and Leadership Committee, read the poem Purple' and introduced the guest speaker Lorna Parkinson. There are two clubs in St. Marys - the Belles of St. Marys and the Best (Beautiful, Elegant, Splendid Toppers). She outlined some of the goals of the Red Hat Society (mainly to have fun). When Jenny Joseph formed the Society she emphasized that the members needed to be selfish once in awhile. Ladies wore pur- ple or red. The St. Marys Kinsmen recently gave a generous donation of $2,500 to the St. Marys Agricultural Society. Pictured from the left are: Kinsmen President Colin Pearson, First V.P. The prize winners were as follows: High lady - Connie Kittmer and high man - Andy Kittmer; lone hands for the ladies was Browns Women's Institute held their Euchre Party on Thursday night September 30, at 8 WI euchre BROWNS WI Audrey Somers and for the men George. Low ladies was Ina Pickel and for the men Alex Jeffrey. Door prizes was won by Rose Whaling and Larry Brooks. The men's euchre will be Thursday, October 14 at 8 p.m.
