The St. Marys Horticultural Society was presented with a certificate of recognition for their guidance at the Gardens Galore project this past summer. Pat also told us how they bought the house and now have a very successful Bed and Breakfast busiâ€" ness. Sheila Greason presided and read sevâ€" eral Christmas readings and jokes. She introduced Linda Clendinning from Thorndale, who played the piano for the singing of Christmas carols. Linda also sang several solos, which was much enjoyed. A delicious lunch was served by Pat. Browns Women‘s Institute held their Christmas meeting at Eagleview, the home of Bob and Pat Young on Wednesday December 11 at 12 noon. Euchre Party The regular Euchre Party of Browns Women‘s Institute was held on Thursday December 12 in the School at 8 o‘clock. The winners were as follows â€" ladies high Evelyn Arthur, lone hands Jean Sims and low Mildred Newman. The men‘s high Gordon Smith, lone hands Alex Jeffrey and low Jim Kennedy. The door prize winners were Bell Oliver and Doug Kennedy. The members of the Institute wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and will see you on January 9 at 8 o‘clock. Emergency Shelter in Woodstock and Evelyn Douglas was delivering them.. A Life membership was presented to_Susan Towle in recognition of her many years of dedicated serviceâ€" to the St. Marys Horticultural Society by President Bruce Barnes at the December 4 yearâ€"end meeting. 7 OO %
