\\ A couple of months ago he got the idea to supply this area with sports equipment â€" everything from a single Tâ€"shirt or cap to complete outfits for teams, equipment for all kinds of sports, from hockey to golf. _ Mr. Gullins who, with his wife Cheryl Penner, has made his home in Castleton for the past seven years, is also the proprietor of Castleton Brass and Electronics. Good sports need to know other good sports. Larry Gullins of Castleton is a good sport who has started a busiâ€" ness he calls Good Sports to serve â€" who else â€" good sports. By Eileen Argyris Good Sports hopes to score with new venture Mr. Gullins works out of his Spring Street home. He has samples of Fruit of the Loom shirts, Maple And, he offers discounts for teams. "Compared to a 60 to 70 per cent markup in some sports stores, I keep mine around 30 to 35 per cent." "Cheap, very chea;?.’" is how he describes his prices. He buys his shirts, pants, team jackets, Jerâ€" seys, caps and shorts from manufacturers and disâ€" tributers, and this, he maintains, along with his low overhead, gives him a distinct price advantage. Mr. Gullins had been selling soccer balls to local teams and baseballs to area leagues for a couple of years. Good Sports will welcome dropâ€"in trade, but, Mr. Gullins advises it‘s "safer" to call first, especially if you have to travel any disâ€" tance. He also sells and installs electronics equipâ€" ment, including satellite dishes, and may not be home when you pass by. He sells baseballs by the dozen, along with other equipment for the boys â€" and girls â€" of summer, such as bases, liners, and more. And, if your team doesn‘t have its own logo, he has a computer program that will allow him to design one for you, free, if you‘re buying your team apparel from him. He can usually get delivâ€" ery of team uniforms withâ€" in two weeks, "crested and everything," he says. w Team outfits for hockey, ringette, broomball, ballâ€" hockey, basketball, baseâ€" ball and football are availâ€" able through him. He also sells trophies. "I‘ve always been into sports," he says. He has played hockey, threeâ€"pitch and golf in this area. Caps, and other brand name Henley shirts, golf shits, Polo shirts.
