I ('7) ' Oswald used to tell that when he first started to clean land on his homestead he owned nothing except an axe which someone had given him. It was at this time that T he came on the well preserved skull or, a moose. There was a fine set of horns still attached to the skull. When he and Andrew built the house they hung the skull and horns on the west Wall of the house under the upstairs window. They christened the farm. "Moose Farm". The farm went by this name for many years. When remember letters coming in the mail addressed to "Noose Farm". But in later years the name fell in to . disuse, and was eventually dropped.
