Thank you for sharing those concerns with me. The enclosed letter was sent to all district presidents on October lst. In it, I have stressed my desire for a continued strong link with your organization and a productive future. Staff positions within the Rural Organizations and Services Branch are starting to fall into place. Several of you, as individuals and as branches, have expressed your concern about the vacancy for editor of the Home and Country magazine. I continue to be impressed with the interest and support you have for your provincial magazine. As you may know, a freelance editor was hired by Molly McGhee to do the Fall 1982 issue which you should be receiving soon or perhaps have received already. The Winter 1983 issue goes to the printers in November. Amber Gibbons is working on that issue. Amber has the responsibility for Communications within our new branch. She is a graduate of the University of Guelph, has served as an assistant agricultural representative in Kent County, and has worked as editor of the Enthusiast magazine since February, 1980. The Spring 1983 issue will go to the printers in February 1983. We hope to have an editor in place before then. The position, as before, will be a nineâ€"month contract. +xf $ a o 4 % v & GooD THINGS GROW iN oNTaARIO _ 9 W@ A(s
