Crafts were featured by some branches. Several took the rug braiding course and reported enjoying it. One branch put: on a quilting show for the bicentennial. Another branch visited Canadore College to see the master potter, Keith Campbell at: work. Che branch made Christmas craft articles to enter in the local fair and won a prize for their display. Another branch helped the tom in its 100th. birthday celebrations. There was a speaker on "Glass" with a display. There was concern about what was considered inadequate funding available to the Canada Council to support Cultural Activities in the country. There was a program on scouting and how it is carried on today - an explanation of the badges and how scouts earn them. A member of one branch laid a. wreath on Material Day at: the local Cenotaph on behalf of the branch. D - Museums.“ and Libraries , Members of one branch dressed in pioneer costumes and served refreshments at a log cabin exhibit. at the local fall fair. Matters of several branches volunteer to work at local meemns and fall fairs. At one nesting the first settlers map of Trout Mills and Trout Lake area was shone. Finally, here are a few excellent programs which should have been reported under other convenerships.
