Switching was done at Cobden by the Bell Telephone Company for a fee of $4.00 a year. This as well as an additional $4.00 flat rate to carry the company was the shareholder cost for many years. In 1960, the "Muskrat Lake Telephone Association" sold to the Bell Telephone Company and the dial system was installed in the area. q
