Dear Sir; with reference to your letter of recont date covering repairs to telephone set, covered by our invoice #6437586, we wish to give yOu the following details. â€" The transmitters were found to be defective, and a new carbon button installed, bearing brackets were found to be defective and replaced, likewise with the gear and sleeve end a new pinion was also put on the genersator, and the main shaft of the generator was crooked and this was replaced, S0 that the generator would be smooth wo rking all through. For these repair parts there is a charge of $4.00. In order to effect these repairs, it took one man three hours and ten minutes to install this material and thoroughly test the telephonse set. His time is billed at 75¢ per hour, making up a total for time and repairs of $7.11. We trust this explanation will be satisfactor to you, and think that a telephone after 12 yeayst service has more than proved satisfactory, and a few repairs of this type might be expected without any further question.
