; i 1 + ' To Women‘s Institure Members * and Friends \ We take pleasure in presenting our Coâ€"operative Programme in Home Economics for 1951â€"52. It has been planned to meet your needs and your requests. Through our programme we aim: 1. To help women acquire sound and approved practices for greater home efficiency. 2. To discover, stimulate and train leadership. > 3. To develop a more abundant life in our rural communities and a deeper ‘ appreciation of the things near at hand. 4. To develop better, happier and more useful citizens. ‘ District services include conferences, local leader training schools, a workshop and rallies. Each branch Institute is entitled to participate in the service chosen by the district and as well, may sponsor its own short course. Where no branch Institute is organized in a community special arrangeâ€" ments may be made for sponsoring a course by applying direct to the Women‘s Institute Branch and Home Economics Service. May we draw to the attention of all Women‘s Institutes the opportunity for rendering valuable service to the community through the coâ€"operative programme. The courses, sponsored by Women‘s Institutes, are open NOT ONLY to members but ALL women of the community. Especially should the young mother be encouraged to participate. in many communities branch Institutes have given valuable service by looking after the younger children while the mothers attend the courses. We have included in this booklet an outline of our homemaking club programme for girls and loan library service. Wishing you every success in the planning and carrying out of your 1951â€"52 programme, . ANNA P. LEWIS, | February 10, 1951. Director.
