Carman Fielding‘s 80th birthday party, © which was held on June 12th at Fielding Memorial Park. A The sun shone all day and the air was filled with warm, i friendly, and happy feelings. There were hundreds of a guests, along with Carman‘s wife Gerda, their family and ‘ their families, as well as his brother Cliff and wife Lil, and t everâ€"soâ€"many nieces and nephews and their families. Their 3 son Douglas was M.C. for the day and kept things moving, K along with the live bands. \ There was entertainment for all ages. Beautiful horseâ€" ? drawn carriage rides for a tour around the park and pony rides for the younger ones. f \ . There were four barbecues and they were manned by members of the family. The beverage tent was kept busy a too. Allâ€"inâ€"all, it kept the members of the family busy ¢ secing that guests were comfortable in every way _ The huge birthday cake was cut by the "Guest of ‘ Honour," "Carman", and graciously served indoors , as well 8 as other goodies. There was also a huge birthday card that i guests could sign and enter little notes. I bet Carmen had ) fun reading it all.
