NOVEMBER 4, 1936 WATERS WOMEN‘S INSTITUTE A meeting was called in No. 1A School House, Waters Township, Wednesday afternoon, November 4th, 1936, with ten ladies present for the purpose of organizing a branch of the Canadian Women‘s Institute. Mrs. C. M. Weller, President of the Sudbury District, and Mrs. L. S. Eiler, Secretaryâ€"Treasurer, were present. Mrs. Weller discussed the benefits, privileges and advantages of the Institute in a community and explained it as a triangle: "What you give to others; "What you get out of it y ourself; "The main vast object â€" Education. Motto â€" For Home and Country The organization must be nonâ€"partisan and nonâ€"sectarian. Mrs. Eiler gave a brief address on ‘things to avoid‘ in an Institute branch. A branch of Sudbury District was organized with the following officers nominated and elected: Mrs. Marshall Moxam President Miss S. Makela Viceâ€"President Mrs. Ed. Diebel Secretaryâ€"Treasurer Mrs. J. Hamilton District Director Mrs. H.
