Â¥"* ‘ 1972 â€" PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER‘S REPORT FROM SYDENHAM wWOMEN‘S TNSTIIUIE The following is a summary of the various activities that the members of Sydenham Women‘s Institute have been involved with during the past year. We had a Hallowe‘en Costume party and geveral prizes were given for the various costumes. We also had a White Elephant Sale that evening. We contributed towards a wreath for the Cenotaph on November l1th. We are pleased that our membership list is growing especially with younger members. Mrs, Mary Lou Brown from Flowers & Things, Kingston, demonstrated how to make Christmas decorations and also flower arranging. Nrs. Lewis and Mrs. Hartman were our lesaders for the "Main Dish Makes the Meal" at which time we had an excellent turnâ€"out. In December we had our annual Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner and entertainment. At our December meeting we exchanged small Christmss gifts and enjoyed a comedy play, put on by several of our members, We sponsored the annual Public Speaking Contest and presented gifts to perticipants. Many of our members serve tea on Sunday afternoons at Fairmount Home for the Aged. We bought gifts for our 4â€"H Leaders who work so hard with the girls. We assist our very active and large 4â€"H Club in Sydenham We made dorations to the Brownies and to the Unitarian Services Committee. We catered to the Good Roads Convention and also to many Sydenham Lions dinners. We had a large turnâ€"out for our annual Pot Luck Supper where our femilies were invited, and enjoyed the entertainment. blic Relations Officer Sydenham Women‘s Institute
