November 10, 1993. $#25. was givem to 4H leaders to cover expenses. September 13, 1995. Members visited a Emu farm on Shelter Valley Road. May 12, 1996. Our branch purchased a W.I. centennial rose bush. Irene Osborne has planted this bush in her garden and will look after it. February 19, 1997. Irene Osborne> and Joyce Murray will organize and teach a Teddy Bear workshop ‘on March 6th to make bears for the Fire Department to give to little folks affected by a fire. June 18, 1997. Castleton Women‘s Institute celebrated the 100th birthday of the founding of the Women‘s Institute with @garden party held at Irene and Jim Osborne‘s home. Members from White School, Codrington and Grafton W.I.s were our guests. Deputy Fire Chisf, Brian Rusaw accepted the teddy bears made this past Spring. November 12, 1997. Steve Gerecke was approached in April to make a Castleton W.I. sign to be placed at the south entrance to the village. To date this has not been completed but was hung later. (in December) January 14, 1998. The Federation of Agriculture was given a cheque for $100. to be given to the ice storm farmer victims. C§2
