In a presentation led by Canadian author and Colborne resident, Jane Urquhart, the group asked Cramahe Council to begin the process to cesignate the building as historically important to the community. Council unanimously moved to protect the historic significance of the building. "What happens if it is designated? Who then becomes responsible?" Cramahe Councillor Clinton Breau asked. "We have founded a Friends of Trinity," Ms. Urquhart responded. "Perhaps we will be responsible." She said the designation "will not cost you a cent" . After it‘s unanimous decision to proceed with the designation, council will now give notice of intent to the Anglican Diocese of Toronto, the Ontario Heritage Trust and publish notice in a newspaper. The "intention to designate" then makes it impossible for any alterations or removals to take place on or around the property. http://www.cramaheâ€"now.com/index.php?view=article&catid=1 :latestâ€"news&id=2785:cra... â€" 6/13/2012
