FOR SEVERAL YEARS DANDY WAS MADE AND SENT To THE RESIDENTS, AND A HAIR DRESSER PAID FOR, FOR TWO EXTRA DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS, IN 1968-69 CUPS AND SAUCERS WERE PURCHASED AND LATER TOWELS FOR THEIR BEAUTY SALON. FOR MANY YEARS OUR LIFE MEMBER MADE THEM A CHRISTMAS CAKE EACH CHRISTMAS AND FLOWERS WERE PRESENTED TO PAST MEMBERS WHO HERE RESIDENTS OF THE GOLDEN PLOUCH LODGE. IN 1970-71 A WHEEL CHAIR WAS PRESENTED TO THE GOLDEN PLOUGH LODGE BY THE BAtLtEBORO WOMEN'S INSTITUTE. ONE MEMBER MADE A GUILT AND TICKETS WERE SOLD TOWARD ITS PUR- CHASE. THE PRESIDENT AT THAT TIME DONATED THE PLAQUE To ACCOMPANY IT. THE GOLDEN PLOUSH TEA AND BIZZAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN WELL ATTENDED BY w.l. MEMBERS, FRIENDS AND NEIGHBOURS ENJOY AN EVENING OF CARDS,WITH PRIZES AWARDED WINNERS AND LOSERs, FOLLOWED BY A DELICIOUS LUNCH. IN 1971 THE EUCRES WERE FIRST HELD IN THE BAILIEBORO CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL, RREVIOUSLY BEING HELD IN SOUTH MONAGHAM COMMUNITY HALL. AT THE END OF THE SEASON A GRAND PRIZE IS AWARDED To THE MAN AND WOMAN WITH THE HIGHEST AVERAGE SCORE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. I
