- After a number of accidents, Boxall WI petitioned Southwold Township, Elgin County, and the Ontario Department of Highways for a Flashing light at the dangerous intersection at Iona Road and Talbot Line (Highway #3). In 1998, a flashing light was installed after the Province downloaded the care of Highway #3 to Elgin County. Around 2006, stop lights were installed.
