Executive hosting. The May meeting which lakes place on May the lSth starts at 1 pm, as usual in the Hillier Hall. The roll call is "What is your favourite sandwich and why?" this should be interesting-“hearing everyonc's different ideas. The May meeting is when our 2008-9 programme is introduced, ---ideas which we submitted at the April meeting, May is also a Brown Bag lunch day. Car pooling to Bloomfield, starting at 2.30 pm, we are having an al‘temoon outing to the Tulip garden which is on Main Street Bloomfield. There were [9 members at the April meeting; the roll call was suggestions for the 2008-9 programme. Many sounded very interesting. It was a good mixture between old and new suggestions! Some of the suggestions were regarding health one way or another from. palliative care and hospice, to mammograms. Another suggestion was a day of games in the park, beginning gardening seeds. a crafi aflemoon. An aftemoon with Pat explaining more about the Archives and how ii affects the WI. records and such. Brown Bag Snack ACTIVITY: “Introduction of 2008- 2009 programme Car Pool to Bloomfield at 2:30 pm for a Tulip tour in Bloomfield Don's hosting Several cards were sent out last month, A get well card to Bill Stapleton, Thinking of You to Betty Stapleton, sadly a Sympathy card to Betty following Bill‘s demise. A Get Well card was sent to Joyce who is in Kingston General Hospital. A Carrolle thanked the group for the Get Well Card which was sent to her daughter Linda. Mountain View are celebrating their 100 years on Sat. June 14th. The 100th A.G.M. is being held between 2 and 3.30 pm. on the 28111 of May 2008 in the Free Methodist Church (across [tom the Fair Grounds in Picton) Following the meeting we will be walking across the road to the Fairgrounds for the Gala evening. Social time starts of 4.30 pm, the meal is at 5.30 pm Tickets are $10 each and must be obtained before 10th of May. Please note tickets CANNOT be bought at the Fairground door on the 28th.
