This lovely modern building was built in 1873. We were I 1, . ‘U z I 1' g! E i invited to see the council chambers which was elaborately furnished. We left there and went to the Kaufman furniture house at Collingwood where twenty’ \ ‘ , i one rooms of modern and traditional furniture were on display. Our next stop was at the Candy factory where we saw candy being made from the observation gallery. We all sampled some and then we were on our way to the Blue Mountain Pottery. As we had written prior to our trip to the pottery they took us on a tour of the plant, where we saw pottery being made from beginning to the finished product. It was very fascinating to see the molds and workers preparing pottery for the kiln. Across the way we went to the Rainbow Pottery where many ladies purchased items. We found them a bit cheaper than the Blue Mountain pottery. Driving along highway 26 we could see the Blue Mountains in the distance afld f the road winding up. The chair lift to the top was not operating so we couldn' ride up the mountain. As we left Collingwood, our driver pointed out where shipâ€"building was being done, which Collingwood is noted for and at 4:30 P-m- made our way back to Barrie where we had our supper and did some shopping in a lovely mall there. At 7230 P.V. we started for home arriving at the church at 11:45 P.W. A tired bunch we were but all felt the trip was great and looking forward to it again next year" Each W.I. member invited a friend to help fill up the bus. ave/we w
