,w. GILBERTS MILLS WOMEN'S INSTITUTE CELEBRATES 65th ANNIVERSARY The Gilberts Mills Women's Institute 65th anniversary was held in the Demorestville town hall on October 17th, 1973. The president, Mrs. Elda Brooks, welcomed the sixty-five guests and had the program started with the singing of the Ode and all repeating the Mary Stewart Collect. The guests were seated at twelve tables each decorated for a month of the year. Each table had to sing an appropriate song accompanied on the piano by yr.;~~~_d» ~,, 7. . . The county president. Mrs. Shirley Vincent, was introduced by Mrs. Bar- bara Pearsall, she offered congrat- ulations on the anniversary and wished us well in the future. A travelling prize, the game conducted by Mrs. Marilyn Lumley. was won by the lady with the birthday closest to October 17th, this being Mrs. Vivian Green of Rednersville,W.I. The anniversary cake was out by the present president Mrs. Elda Brooks and a former president, Mrs. Jetta Noxen, who now resides in Bloomfield.
