The letter was recelved m Twwd last week, and after a copy was made to donate to the Tweed and Area Historical Somety, it was suitably framed and will be on display in the municipal building. The letter reads: “Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother has learned with interest that the Town of Tweed will be celebrating its Centenary between the 29th June and lst July. The Queen Mother, who has such a warm relationship with the Province of Ontario, asks me to convey to you and to the citizens of Tweed Her Majesty’s greetings and sincere good wishes on such an important occasion.†The letter was addressed to the Reeve, and signed by the Private Secretary to Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. The House of Lentheric controls Tweed Per- fume, of which the Queen Mother is patron.
