The WI purchased the church which is now’ their Community Hall. When it was bought, all luncheon cloths, tea towels, silverware, china, and glasses, owned by the church members were donated to the Institute. The dinner was convened by Mrs. C. Curtis, Mrs. L. Mastin, . and Mrs. H. Dickens. Grace was said by Clayton Stickle. A turkey dinner was served by members of the Women's Institute to 46 guests. After the dinner, euchre‘ was enjoyed with seven tables in play. Women’s high went to Mrs. Ken Stickle, women’s low - Mrs. Audrey Moore, Men‘s high â€" Mr. Glenn Stickle, Men’s low - Mr. Maitland Harder, Lone Hand â€" Mrs. Douglas Harry. The Bay of Quinte Women's Institute held the annual spring tea and sale at the new hall, Johnstown, with Mrs. S. Holland‘ and Mrs. A; Darlow welcoming the visitors. Spring floral arrangements made by Elizabeth Dunn, a 4H Club member, adorned the tea tables. The sale tables included a Country Store and plant table, convened by Mrs. 0. Moran and Mrs. J. Vanderlind‘en,‘ assrsted by Bicki Stickle and Judy Flemin . Homeg crafts were readily sold by Mrs. A. Meyers and Mrs. R. Campney. ' . _. . Candy of various kinds, 1nâ€" cluding many home made varieties were sold by Mrs. G. Loxley. Home made breads, rolls, cakes, pies and the best of each baker’s goodies were sold quickly by Mrs. C.
