W X the Women's Institute. It is due to the Women's Institute, too, that -5- women has taken her proper place and exerted her great influence not only in the home, where she must ever remain the most important factor, but in everything in which the interests of women and children are ' concerned. It is my candid Opinion that community life owes mote to the work of the \'iomen's Institute than to any other agency. In tact," .j I have a notion that the work of the Institute is to db whatever needs doing and is not being done. Now I have tried to show some of the many accomplishments in the growth of the Women's Institute. There is much more to be done and I trust that unitedly we will do it. The Institute has had four superintendents, Mr. 3'. w. Dr . Creelmen, Mr. Putmen and Miss LIcDermend . Numerice 11:], I believe there are around 1370 branches in Ontario with about 42,000 members. Oh, ther e's something hbout the Institute That metres life seem worth while; There's something "bout the meetinrs Puts more sunshine in our smile; With their helpful demonstrations And the friendly roll calls too, Hake the meetings br iglg/t and helpful And full of interest through. There's fellowship in the meetings That outsiders donl't poseess; There's restfulness and comfort Making for true happiness; There's the theme of education, There's music in the air, There are kindly hearts and (faces all around us everywhere. And there's this'bout our meetings, Our loyal, noble creed Seems to lift us from Life's problems And'we' share our sister's need. At our meetings, we can tell: of all The things of truest worth. Oh, we feel the Women's Institute Is the best organization on earth.
