In Memoriam Philio Bradley Proudfoot, D.D.S. A white-haired, keen-minded, bright-eyed friendly man with a chuckle is gone from the ranks of those who work for the advancement of better education. Death came on October 1st,, 1949, to Philip Bradley Proudfoot, Dental Surgeon of Russell, Ontario. Dr. Proudfoot was born May 28th., 1876, on a farm at Eeneghvale, Ontario. He received his early education at Vankleek Hill Collegiate, taught three years in a rural school, then attended Dental Colleges in Toronto and Chicago. He practised dentistry in Russell Village for 45 years. Throughout his lifetime he took a keen interest in municipal, national and world affairs. He was a Best--Master of the masonic Lodge, a member of the Independent Order of Foresters and of the Independent Order of Oddfellows. He was a devout member of the Presbyterian church. His hobbies included gardening and research work in connection with the use of Fluorine to develop better teeth.
