contributed their time and talents. We also thank the organizations and individuals of other provinces who contributed information for this book. Each member has found this work a fascinating experience and has been greatly impressed with the debt owed by present day members of the Women's Institute to the vision of the dedicated, hard working women who assisted at the founding of the organization and contributed their efforts to establish and foster branches throughout Ontario, Canada and Overseas. There were many of these women, and it is unfortunate that space permits the mention of only a few of them. Perhaps the best way we can honour them is to keep alive and vital for future generations the organization they believed in so strongly.
