Laszlo Szabo of Canada Post told the Review Tuesday that once a Post Master retires, Canada Post carries out a review of the post office. He said they are always looking for more access to the post ofï¬ce, in a more cost efï¬cient way. “Canada Post is looking at inter- ested local businesses," Szaho said. Szabo said the residents of Fournier were advised March 20 of the possible changes and that a review would be made on the present post ofï¬ce, A public meeting was held in April. The Post Master of the Fournier post ofï¬ce retired last August. A temv porary Post Master has been ï¬lling the position. until the review is completed. According to Szabo. Canada Post has already received applications from local business. He said that retail postal services allows longer hours for cus- tomers to pick up their mail. They are currently looking for the most central location, good parking, and good access. Canada Post is accepting applica- tions from businesses interested in offering retail postal services, An an- nouncement will be made at the end of June, Slabo said, letting people know where the retail postal service will be (photo by R.
