Sunshine Women‘s Institute Tweedsmuir History Book 4 uottuary Mrs. Alice Scott of Riceville, passed away June 13, 1986. She was 93 years of age. Her husband William Scott passed away in 1956. She is survived by one daughter, Margaret (Mrs.) James Wilson, of Riceville. Her son Ar- nold passed away in 1909, her daughter Edna in 1974. . She was born in New York City, Aug. 17, 1892, a daughter of Thomas Gibb, and Christina McKay. She had one sister Margaret Streeter of Perry, New York, two brothers Bob and Alick Gibb, of Long Branch, New Jersey. She had eight grandchildren, 4 great grand- children. Mrs. Scott was a member of Riceville United Church, the Ladies Aid (which later became the U.C,W.) for over fifty years, She also sang in the United Church Choir for over sixty years. , The funeral was held from the Munroe Funeral Home, Maxville. Rejean Levac, 57, suffered serious injuries late the afternoon of Sept, 5 when he was collecting his herd to return to the stable and the bull hit him, said family member and neigh- bour Gaston Levac. Rejean Levac was hospitalized immediately and died of complications three days later, Sept. 8, in an Ottawa facility The community gathered for funeral services in Fournier Sept. 11 to mourn the death of the local farmer. An OPP spokesman said 53- year-old Alban Grenier of Fourn- ier died instantly when he was hit by a cross arm from a hydro pole. The arm, which attaches hy- dro wires to poles, was knocked off the pole when a tree fell into a hydro line. Grenier, a retired salesman, was the father of five adult chil- dren.
