The forty-fifth annual meeting of Prescott District was held on Male,1995, at Cassburn United Church with Cassbum Branch as hostess A memorial service was held to remember three deceased members, Nancy Manson of Stardale Branch , Gayle Kirby of Lookout Bay Branch, and Marguerite Robinson of Plantagenet Branch. District P.R.O. Ruth Proudfoot reported that the card party she convened had netted $375. for the Headquarters Fund. A printed report of the year’s activities was circulated and her excellent display included W.I articles for sale .(See pictures of the display). Program Co-ordinator Erin McBride reported a great variety of programs in the seven branches and gave suggestions for coâ€"operation between branches for activities. The Prescott District Scholarship was presented to Jolene Bradley and the Everready Scholarship to Rhonda Kinnear by the president, Ethelda Boa. Guest speaker was radio personality, Carol Handfield , who is better known by her maiden name ,Carol Banks.She works as a reporter and radio announcer in both Montreal and Ottawa. Board director Mary Inglis gave an interesting report and mentioned that the history books would be ready in 1996. Members brought their articles to be sent to the Erland Lee Home to the meeting. Donations were given as follows; $500. to Vankleek Hill Agricultural Society, $200. to Riceville Agricultural Society, and $100. to Rural Child Care Services. Ari Area Rally will be held in Kemptville on June 24th ,1995. Plantagenet Branch will be hostess for the 1996 District Annual . On the district executive from Sunshine; Ruth Proudfoot as P.R.O., Erin McBride as ProgCo-ordinator, and Ruby Proudfoot as Secretary â€"Treasurer . 03
