The above slate of officers and convenors were elected for the 1988-89 year. Ruby Proudfoot acted as chairperson and Lila Howard as secretary for the election. A letter was read from the South Plantagenet Municipal Council approving Sunshine’s donation of a Microwave oven for the Municipal Hall. A Committee headed by the President and Life Members was set up to plan Sunshine’s 50th Anniversary which is to be held in June 1988. Ruby Proudfoot and Pauline Ryan were appointed to purchase stationery with letterhead for the Branch. The theme of the District Annual to be in Cassburn United Church May 17, 1988 was "Waste Matters". Nine members attended from Sunshine - Pauline Ryan acted as their delegate. Helen Anderson, District President presided over the meeting. Eighteen members attended the May 1988 meeting at Pat Bradley’s house. Following a letter of request $50.00 was given to the Riceville Calf Club towards extra expenses needed for setting up a new Club Name Display. 09
