Horvey Murray Heads Ontario I.0.0.F. At the annual Independent Order of 0ddieliows sessions held in Toronto last week. Harvey Murray was installed as the Grand Patriarch of the Grand Encamp- ment of Ontario in a most im- pressive manner. The installing Marshals were Brother James Barker and Brother John Hopper. assisted by his three grand- children, Lisa Murray, Ashley Murray and Aaron Murray. Out of Jurisdiction gusts were: the Grand Patriarch of Michigan, Ken Alderton; the Grand Matriarch of Michigan, Louise Wyant; the Grand Patriarch of New York, George Stewart; the Grand Patriarch of Quebec, Ronald Talbot: and General Com- manding (R) Howard Popst of West Virginia. Harvey was born in Westminster Township and moved to the Bela mont area in 1957, where he operates Murraybrae Farms with his son Douglas, He was initiated into-Glanworth Lodge No. 289 on December 11, 1945 and transferred to Hope Lodge No, 69, Harrietsvifle on December 11, 1967. He served as Noble Grand of Glanworth Lodge in 195369, and Noble Grand of Hope Lodge in 1985-86. He became District Depu- ty Grand Master of Elgin District No. 16 for the 1976-77 term. He then joind the Encampment Branch of Harvey Murray the Order in 1977, rising continual ly through the ranks. His objective is to “Build En- - campment Oddtellowship” and to increase harmony in all units of the Order by working together through communication. His project for the year is H.U.G. â€" (Help Us Grow) 7 a programme to help children who have growth problems Westminster Homestead: "Century Farm" home built by the White family and occupied by William White. Dawson of Niagara Falls, has recently graduated from the Umversity of Toronto with a Doctorate in Metallurgical Engineering. Steve also obtained his. Master's Degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University. He is a‘ graduate of Westland Seconda School and previously attended Rutland, River View and Westminster Central Schools. He has accepted a position as a research associate with LTV Steel in Cleveland, Ohio. ‘â€"
