Middlesex East District Women’s Institute held a church service in the church at Fanshawe Pioneer Village The guest speaker was Irene Richard~ son, a former provincial hoard director and a lay preacher as well‘ She challenged all present to uphold the aims and objectives of the Women‘s Institutes. A quartet of two W.l. members 7 Beth Wills and Agnes Worthy. along with Floyd Wills and Glen Baskerville provuled musm, Following the service everyone gathered around the flowering cmhapple tree, which East Midv dlesex had previously planted. for a dedication by Evelyn Rath, Public Relations Officer for Middlesex East and the guest speaker Irene Richardson A social time followed in the Orange Hall. Various branches provided tea, lemonade and good Old-fashioned cookies. Everyone enjoyed this occasion and were happy the weather coe operated beautifully. The Middlesex East Women’s Institute planted a flowering crabapple tree at Fanshawe Pioneer Village, Sunday, May 30.
